So I changed this to make it update every day rather than every minute, but again it didnt fix the problem. I also read in other forums that the problem could be with the time interval that is set for the media server to update. Mine finds the server ok, connects for a minute or so then dro. I recently updated my NAS firmware to 1.42, however this didnt fix the prob. Is anyone having issues with the PS3 dropping connection to a Media Server running on a Vista PC. My PS3 and NAS drive are both connected to my Gigabit Linksys router via LAN, so Im sure its not a speed issue, especially as it even happens with small 200mb video files. When I stream a video file, it'll play for 30-60 seconds and then the audio will disappear and a few seconds later, the image freezes.

After that it just plays as norma, but it will then repeat this every 10-15mins. I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3 and I've tried streaming with WMP11 and PS3 Media Server, but I'm having the same issue with both. The only recourse is to physically turn off the PS3 at the unit, wait a bit & turn it back on & then wait about 5 minutes as it performs a disk check since.
